Since its inception, the gallery has been one of the festival's venues, hosting exhibitions that dialogue with the film program and opening its doors to parallel events. On its 33rd edition, the Curtas Vila do Conde festival is now joining in the celebration of Solar's 20th anniversary with two special moments during this year's edition.

From the start of the festival, an exhibition at the Municipal Theater of Vila do Conde will occupy floors 1 and -1 with a selection of posters that have marked the gallery's history over the past two decades. The exhibition will be on display throughout the event, offering a visual journey through Solar's graphic and artistic identity.

In addition, on Tuesday, July 15th, at 6:00 p.m., a conversation will take place in the gallery's bookstore, with the presence of artists who were fundamental in building Solar's exhibition path. Among the confirmed guests are João Tabarra, Tatiana Macedo, and Christoph Girardet — the latter, together with Matthias Müller, responsible for the gallery's inaugural exhibition in 2005.

With these initiatives, Solar reaffirms its role as a reference point at the intersection of cinema and the visual arts, and Curtas Vila do Conde pays tribute to it, celebrating a shared history of artistic complicity and innovation.
