The finalist for the next artistic residency at Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery is Catarina Oliveira, who presented her project, “A Mulher da Areia” (The Woman of the Sand).

This announcement is part of the open call for artistic residency launched by Solar, which targets emerging artists residing in Portugal and encourages proposals in the fields of image, sound, interactivity, or their intersections.

Catarina Oliveira’s selection reflects Solar’s commitment to coherent, sustained, and experimental artistic creation. She will receive support to develop her project during the residency and will present her work to the public as an installation or exhibition.

The residency is scheduled to begin soon, with dates to be confirmed. The exhibition will be held from December 2026 to January 2027. Catarina will also receive financial support of €2,000 (VAT included), available for materials, equipment, and services required for her project.
